Regional liquidity, with product-safe surfaces
Stables is an onchain FX layer for synthetic local-currency balances. The capped pilot focuses on minting and redeeming synthetic AUD and NZD against approved USDC collateral on Base, with isolated vaults and explicit capacity, oracle-health, and pause controls.
Current status: private-testnet product surfaces are available for review. Values presented in design previews are illustrative unless they come from an approved deployment registry and live API response.

Stables balances are protocol liabilities, not bank deposits. Yield is variable, liquidity can be constrained, and redemptions depend on collateral, verified prices, and protocol state.
The repository's canonical specification controls whenever this documentation, a design preview, and the implementation differ.
